Bubble Ferry Ride

It's been awhile since I finished a LO. I love this one! I worked with sketch 249 over at Scrapbook Challenges.

I tried my hand at a funky angle pic to show the dimensions a little...

Thanks for looking, happy Monday!

Happy B-Day Card

Today is my last real day of Spring Break, so I got some scrapping in. Still trying to figure out the best way to take pics:

I LOVE the color combo at Color Throwdown right now:

I had so much fun with them. Then of course I had to do Sketch 81 over at Get Sketchy:

Thanks for looking, have a great rest of your weekend!

Long Morning Hike

I've posted so much already this Spring Break! Yay for recharging the batteries!

My most recent layout is from Sketch 246 over at Scrapbook Challenges.

I liked this sketch a lot, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome-I tend to be more proud of my simple things.
Now if only I could figure out how to get better pictures of my stuff!
thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary: The Paper Players

Yay, Spring break! So much scrapping happening!

John and I are celebrating our anniversary in a couple weeks, and I made him a card using the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players: #39 Clean and Simple.

It's so sunny right now, I had an impossible time getting a decent picture of it! The printed part is a cut out border, with the blue and the hemp knots underneath/behind. Something new that was tricky but fun to play with.

Two Birthday Cards

Yay for Spring Break! There are so many glorious hours in the day when I only have one full time responsibility, instead of two. I love school and my job is great, but I can't wait for our huge 7 month trip where I won't be doing either of them!

Anyways, free time means more scrapping. Here are my most recent two cards...
My mom got the card in the mail yesterday, so I can post a picture now :). I shouldn't reveal a lady's age, but it ended in a "0" so it's a big one. I tried some new things, like with the twine, beads and painting.

I'm pretty excited about it and my mom loved it :)

Then I challenged myself by combining challenges and made a card for my sister Lila. (Or, I think I'll give it to her, it's still a month and a half away.) Her birthday ALSO ends in a zero this year-30.

So the challenges that inspired me:
First, I saw the colors over at ColorQ (#77) and immediately thought of Lila-she loves blue.

But I thought "meh, it's too soon to make a card for her!" But then I saw the challenge happening at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Now, I hope this still counts-the challenge was clean and simple-and child themed. Since she's turning 30 I know she's not a child age-wise, but she is develop-mentally disabled, so she still likes children things. In my mind she's a big kid.

And, lastly, because I like seeing how many challenges I can combine on one card, I snatched a layout from over at Get Sketchy (#79) again.

Whew! Long post today. Again, yay for Spring break!
